Los Angeles Dodgers vs San Diego Padres
Los Angeles Dodgers 111 wins of 162
San Diego Padres 89 wins of 162
One of the most frequent match ups in the MLB this season, Los Angeles Dodgers vs San Diego Padres.
The series of summer games between the Dodgers and Padres saw the Dodgers win but not by much. Game 1 and 2 saw the Dodgers take the lead with a solid 8 games in both (8 – 1 / 8 – 3) but it was Game 3 where the Padres managed to hold the Dodgers back from another screaming lead. Game 3 4 – 0 to the Dodgers.
Head into September and Padres are trying to get their mojo back but maybe they piqued too soon. Excellent play from the Padres clinched the 7 – 1 win against Dodgers in Game 1. Then Game 2 went back to Dodgers old tricks with a 12 – 1 sweep. Game 3 came along and Padres were able to win 4 despite Dodgers dominating with 9.
No more than a week later and Padres are managing to get a 5 – 4 win against Dodgers in Game 1 but that’s followed by a double down dominance of 8 – 4 and 11 – 2 in Games 2 and 3.
At the very end of September, Dodgers huge win margins against the Padres begin to drop. Padres manage to pull a 4 – 3 HOME win in Game 1 against the Dodgers and hold them back for a single 1 – 0 in Game 2. Game 3 is won with a 5 – 2 win for Dodgers.
Atlanta Braves vs Philadelphia Phillies
Atlanta Braves 101 wins of 162

The Braves – Phillies meets have been quite well matched during this season despite the Braves taking 5 of their 7 games. During mid-September, the Braves took the first Series of games with (7 -2 / 4 – 3 / 5 – 2).
Only a few weeks later, the Phillies managed to take 2 of their 4 games at HOME. The Phillies clinched Game 1 with a close 1 – 0 win followed a dominating 9 – 1 conquest in Game 2. Braves got themselves in gear and secured a 6 – 3 win in Game 3 and a very close 8 – 7 win in Game 4 (an extra innings game).
